2nd Annual Avy’s Sunshine Kite Festival

The 2nd Annual Avy’s Sunshine Kite Festival is a free heartwarming, community event dedicated to honoring the lives of lost loved ones. This free public event invites participants to decorate and fly kites in memory of those they hold dear while enjoying activities, games, vendors, and shared moments of joy. The kite festival also acts as a fundraiser for Avy’s Sunshine Tribe, a nonprofit organization working to build a much-needed playground in honor of Avy, a beloved child who was tragically killed in a car crash at the age of almost two. This kite festival is inspired by the Sumpango Kite Festival in Guatemala where they make huge 60 ft vibrant kites to send messages to lost loved ones. We provide free kites at the festival and would love to have kite enthusiasts join us with all kinds of kites in the sky!
