During a review of documents in preparation for the 2014 AKA Convention, the dates on the AKA Calendar and the dates on the Host Hotel contract were found to not agree. The host hotel was contacted to find out if AKA could have the dates published on the Events Calendar and in various announcements.
Unfortunately, key portions of the hotel that we need are booked and there are no other facilities in the area that can meet our needs or budget.
The dates on our contract were reserved so the Executive committee, at the urging of the Annual Meeting Chair, agreed to change the 2014 AKA Convention to the contracted dates of Monday Sep 29th through Saturday Oct 4th, with check out on Sunday Oct 5th.

This is a regrettable error and we hope there is enough advance warning for members to adjust schedules and revise reservations.
