We are nominating Christian Baden Powell to receive the Robert Ingraham Kiting Community Award for 2022
-Christian is and has been everything Robert Ingraham wanted to see in the kiting world.
Many years ago Ron & Marla met Christian at a festival in Germany and they were in awe of the kites
he was flying. Soon after that festival we crossed paths several times in another part of the world and it was a pleasure to reconnect and spend time visiting with him and being able to see his new creations.
Christian came to America, set down roots and married Gayle. That relationship became a strong
;driving force within the AKA organization and the kiting world. Christian continued his kite making, sharing his knowledge, volunteering his time at festivals, always ready to help others, promoting the goals of AKA and has stepped up to help the AKA Board by filling the 2nd Vice President position.
Christian is a kind, humble and caring person in all areas of his life and we all are proud to know him.
