We would like to put forward the names of Alexa & Sam King for the AKA Lee Toy Award. Many years ago, while traveling along the Oregon coastline and stopping at a viewpoint, we struck up a conversation with a mother and her son, Alexa & Sam King. We discovered they were kite flyers and new to kitemaking.   Through the last 20 years plus we have watched the two of them become proficient kite makers and filling the sky with their multi themed and colorful kites of all sizes and all types. Sam has given back by taking on the position of President of Fort Worden Kite Makers Conference at Warm Beach for several years.  His kitemaking has produced some of the most brilliant kite designs and his kites are sought after by many. Alexa has consistently produced kites that are not only award winning but are amazing pieces of artwork, filling the sky around USA and various other countries. Both Alexa and Sam have helped promote kiting by showing their enthusiasm for kiting by volunteering when a need arises and teaching classes on various types of kites. They have lived and given in the world of kites that would make Lee Toy proud today. Endorsed by: Ron & Marla Miller Bob & Donna Wendt
