The AKA is supported by generous donors of the kiting community

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself: Roger Kenkel from Gibbon, NE and current Region 7 Director for the AKA.
2. Why did you join the AKA? Make connections within the kiting community.
3. What is your favorite kite to fly? If only I could pick just one. Each day is different if the wind is perfect l will either fly a quad line kite as I need the practice and the exercise or a single line if I need to destress. As far as exact kites my go to sport kite is the Lam Hoac ABS. SLK is probably my pair of 30 ft aliens
4. Where is your favorite place to fly? Callaway Nebraska and Leoti, KS.
5. If you could fly with anyone dead or alive, who would it be, and what would you fly? Lam Hoac to fly dual ABS routines.
6. What is your favorite event or kite festival? Callaway Kite Flight and Wind & Wheels festival in Kansas.
7. What is one thing you wish more people knew about kite flying? It’s not just for kids. Great way to decompress and get a wonderful workout.
8. What is the best color combination for a kite? Super bright colors, pick your favorite shade. I’m partial to lime green, black, red, and warm colors.
9. You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why? Blood red
