Kite #1: Sky Bird by George Peters (Aloha)

One of George Peters’ most iconic designs, he only made a few and did them just in black and white for years. We’re making that pattern and his new, less understated Aloha. Made of ripstop nylon and carbon spars. 15’-9” x 8’-0”. 46” case (This product has a shipping length greater than 42″ and can not be shipped to most international addresses). 5 to 20 mph winds. Use 300-lb. Dacron line.

Kite #2: Hydra by Paul de Bakker (Blue)

Paul de Bakker built the Hydra to win in freestyle competition and then used it do just that. A rare combination of trickiness and stability, it’s one of the few kites that can make old and new school tricks look graceful and effortless. Whether you’re a hardcore trick flier or a weekend warrior looking to relax, the Hydra is a kite you’ll never outgrow. Made of .6-oz. Icarex polyester with a high-performance, wrapped carbon frame. 7’-5” x 3’-1”. 58/32” case. Use 100 to 150-lb. Spectra line.

Kite #3: Skate by Paul de Bakker (Lime)

Those light wind days that frustrate kitefliers are the Skate’s cup of tea. A hybrid between a controllable single-line kite and a glider, it soars at the flick of a wrist. Designed for low wind conditions that leave most kites on the ground, it’s a popular kite for indoor flying. Paul de Bakker’s Skate is flown by many top indoor competitors. Adding grace and elegance every place you fly, it turns kiteflying into performance art. Its nose pocket accepts one to three coins, allowing you to tune it for indoor or outdoor conditions, add weight to the nose to make it glide. Remove the coins to fly it as a kite in 0 to 6 mph winds. Made of light-weight micro-carbon rods and 0.6-oz. ripstop polyester. 5′-4″ x 4′-0″. 2.8-oz. 29/49″ case. Ready to fly with 100′ of 50-lb. Dyneema line on a handle.
